Krista Stallard
Krista has been practicing law for more than fifteen years, helping families navigate what are often the most difficult times in their lives. Krista has an in-depth knowledge of the laws related to separation, divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and property distribution, and her primary focus is to achieve the best possible result for her clients in their legal case. She prioritizes understanding a client’s needs and goals to tailor a legal strategy accordingly. Krista is committed to keeping her clients informed throughout the legal process and discussing potential outcomes openly.
Whenever possible, Krista encourages collaborative solutions. She is trained in the practice of collaborative divorce and is an NCDRC certified family financial mediator. However, when litigation becomes necessary, our experienced team is ready, willing, and able to litigate matters in the courts.
While not a native Charlottean, Krista has called the Carolinas home for over 30 years. Following graduation from Penn State University, Krista lived briefly in Cincinnati before moving to the Charlotte area. She worked at one of the city’s banks for several years before embarking upon a legal career. While attending law school, Krista worked as a research assistant for the school’s Director of Legal Writing and spent time as an educator in the Mecklenburg County Family Court Self Serve Center. Krista also completed an externship with Moore & Van Allen during this time. She was a member of the Law Review, Order of the Crown, and Order of the Scribe and graduated 5th in her class, magna cum laude. Following graduation, Krista conducted legal research for a consulting company and practiced for a few years at a firm in Matthews before deciding to open her own firm.
In her spare time, Krista enjoys hiking, snow skiing, and watching her husband and son play ice hockey.
Krista also handles name changes, stepparent adoptions, and probate/estate administration matters.
"Whether you're negotiating a settlement or litigating a dispute, I'm here to help."

Carolyn Bellof
Carolyn is a Certified Family Law Specialist in North Carolina, a distinction only approximately 250 attorneys have. Carolyn has litigated many family law cases in Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, and Cabarrus Counties. She understands that clients often feel a loss of control while going through the divorce, separation, child custody, child support, and alienation of affection process.
Carolyn experienced a huge loss of control over her life when her youngest child was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 11. This life changing event was a curveball in her otherwise ordinary life. Luckily, Carolyn had people, through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) , that reached out to her and her daughter to help them learn how to cope with this disease and their new lives. Although difficult at times, Carolyn’s daughter has thrived and they both have found a new passion for life.
Carolyn gives the same support that she received from the Type-1 community to her clients. She comforts her clients who are scared and depressed dealing with their new normal. She is there to make sure that their legal needs are protected when they are dealing with so many negative and powerful emotions.
"No one gets married or has children thinking they will get divorced and have to split up all of their assets and divide time with their children. People feel a huge loss of control as the assets that they have accumulated are fought over with the person they thought they would spend the rest of their life with."

Volunteer Work
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Carolyn often volunteers and raises money for JDRF in the hopes of a cure for juvenile diabetes by biking and running at charity events. Council for Children’s Rights (CFCR). Carolyn has volunteered as a best interest attorney in numerous cases for CFCR.
